Stranded Core

You came down hard on a world that has no use for you. Across the Red Wilds, old relics lie sleeping, and the only way on is to wake them, one night at a time.

By day the wilds are yours to roam. Follow the golden waytree to a sleeping relic, cut down the guardians that rise around it, and spend your gold on chests that spin up new abilities, or on broken turrets you can bring back to life.

Wake the relic and night falls, and every relic wants something different. One you'll defend against wave after wave. Another asks you to stand in its light while the horde closes in, or sends you after totems, shard-bearers or a drifting spark across the map. Hold out until dawn and the relic will reward you. Wake them all and your pod carries you further down the road, through elite areas under blood moons and thunderstorms, past strange landings and quiet camp stops, towards the Colossus waiting at its end.

Die, and the run is over, but nothing you earned is lost. Back at camp, your gold and Power Cores repair broken machines and bring their people back to work: new guns, new powers, and a squad of soldiers who follow you into the wilds and grow into veterans, as long as you don't leave them where they fell. And the strangers you help along the way might just move in.

This is a demo of a game I'm still building. It covers the whole Red Wilds, from the first landing to the final boss, and plays with mouse and keyboard or a controller. More zones are on the way.
